Fitness and the aging brain
I have been listening to an inspiring podcast which that discusses the benefits of exercises for slowing down brain-function, changes that occur with aging. Apparently, what is proven to be most effective for specific cognitive skills improvement (i.e. Attention and Processing Speed) is an exercise routine which is exercise of 15 to 30 minutes in length, combining aerobic exercise and strength training.
